PostHeaderIcon Mario Super Sluggers Cheats

Okay time for me to put some back work into this writing business (If you don’t get it, this is the first thing I’m writing since the school break of 2009, however it’ll probably be put in a stock pile somewhere…)

Anyways back to business.  Super Mario Sluggers is a baseball with Mario characters!

Generally you can do very well with people who don’t play much, even if you’re up against someone who owns the game!

Anyways, welcomes back, how are you, and let’s move on!

Super Mario Sluggers Tricks

Unlocking Everything

Sorry there’s no up, right, down, a, b cheat code to unlock all the characters and maps.  No, you have to unlock those characters and fields stuff yourselves.

Generally all you have to do is just to roam around all of the coliseums to find characters in trouble.  Help them with signature moves and they’ll join you.

Anyways it’s not that hard to beat the game.  Really, all I did was just go straight from one game to the next.  Eventually (under 2 hours), I find myself beating the game.

Beating people

Well here it is, some strategies I use to beat friends who play Wii Sports like there’s no tomorrow.

Tip #1: Change the position you throw.  Confuse them and, maybe even get some nice strikes!

Tip #2: Go for the slow one.  Then the fast, then the fast!  I don’t know why, but the concept seems easy, but you just can’t do it.  So just break the tempo!

Tip #3: Use the star pitch or swings to get the last strike or shot to get the shot or maybe the final strike.

Using just the Wiimote

You might not know this, but you can play this game without the nunchuck.

If you play without it certain things happen.  For example without it your outfielders will automatically run to the balls.

I find that doing this is a lot easier then just controlling them to mess up.

PostHeaderIcon Dewy’s Adventure

Dewy’s Adventure is a very cute, platforming, rolling, action game.  It may be cute and colorful to the point of a head ache, but it offers a lot of creativity.

This multiplayer Wii games makes you play as a water droplet.  Not, just any water droplet though you play as Dewy, the legendary hero!

You might have never heard of him, but he saved his world, the mythical fairy tail world that’s protected by the Tree of Seven Colors from an evil monster named Don Hedron.

Don Hedron failed and left, but 1000 years later with the mysterious black rain.  The rain made the magical tree ill, and it’s up to Dewy to save the world.

Pro:
  • Change Dewy into water, gas, or ice by changing the temperature
  • Change the environment by changing the temperature (and your form)
  • Cause earthquakes and strong wind throughout the whole entire map
  • Create your own levels with monsters, stars, and everything!
  • The stages looks bright and cheerful
Con:
  • The controls can be frustrating
  • The frustrating controls can lead to frustrating deaths
  • When you run of Water Droplets (HP) you have to start all over, which is extra annoying, because of the above reasons.

Dewy’s Adventure Gameplay

Controls

You hold the Wiimote horizontally.  You move Dewy by tilting the controls in the direction you want.  Now that’s not all this action game offers you.  You also get platforming abilities like jumping in the air and then smashing down on your enemies.

By pressing up or down on the D-Pad you change the temperature, thus changing Dewy and the environment.  It’s impressive on how the stage will look all nice and green and then suddenly freezes up!

Gameplay

You’ll be going through colorful stages rescuing Dewy’s Eau friends.  There are 7 worlds and each of them has 5 stages.  The 5th stage is a boss fight, and the rest have a total of 400 Eau.  So there are 100 Eau per stage.

By changing the temperature you can make Dewy become:

  • Gas – This is your hot temperature form.  You’re stuck in the same spot, but you can fly up and rain down gigantic thunderbolts on your enemies.  You could either stun them, or just plain kill the enemies.
  • Water – This is your room-temperature form.  This form is similar to ice, except for the fact that you jump higher.
  • Ice – This is the freezing temperature form.  Like water you can move around, but watch out its slippery!  Ice is combat oriented, meaning this form is best used to attack your enemies.

However not only that, but sometimes you have to change the temperature to move on in this game.

Dewy’s Adventure Multiplayer

The multiplayer in this game could be found inside Goody Mode.  Here you can do things like design your own stages with things you saw in the game.  The things you designed are for the multiplayer mode.

Now if you wish you can also send and receive the stages you make with your friends via. WiiConnect24.

Multiplayer Mode

Now what you do here is simple.  You pick one of the maps that are already there, or the custom ones you make yourself, either way it’s what’s going to happen next…

Once you get all the players in, and chose the stage the game begins!  In each map you can see how many stars there are.  Your goal is to gather them, and the one with the most stars win.  Now the deathmatch start!

You can attack each other, to get each other’s stars, but what I really like to do is my Earthquake or wind power and mess around with my friends.  Once my friend asked me to blow him somewhere when he was in his gas form, but instead I “accidentally” blew him off the cliff J

Conclusion

Either you’ll love the cuteness of the game, or you’ll hate it.  However despite those opinions one fact still remains of this game.  The controls are sometimes very frustrating.  It also does not help when you put Eau near the edge, as you’ll usually be sent flying off the map.

If you’re a child, and you’ve played plenty of other games (Beating them, and assuming it’s an actual action game) this game is probably for you.

The cuteness adds to the game play, while simultaneously adding to a child’s attraction.

While it can get annoying to play and fall off cliffs, the cute graphics and the creativity of your forms really contribute to how great this game is.

I would recommend you to try this game first with Gamefly. Starting as low as $8.95 or Try For Free!

PostHeaderIcon Punch Out! Cheats

“…7…8…9…10!  Knock out!” declared the Referee.  The crowd explodes with joy, and there he is, Little Mac, standing there, the center of attention.  He has bruises all over his face, a broken rib, and he was in his pajamas!  The crowd roared with laughter.

Do you want to end up like this?  Well hopefully not (nor is that even possible), let’s look at todays hints, tips, and maybe tricks.

The Trick To Winning

You’ll Hate Me For This… Practice

I’m sure you’re already tired from hearing this from me, but if you’re really genuinely stuck against an opponent, then go to Exhibition Mode, and practice fighting against their move set so you’ll know how to dodge them by heart.

Watch The Blink

You know when the opponents going to hit you when they look ready to swing at you.  You can punch them and hopefully counter them, or you can dodge them.  Now if you chose the later choice, then sometimes you can get tricked.  What you have to do is actually wait for the blink to dodge.

PostHeaderIcon Punch Out!

Starting from 1984 Punch-Out is a long time remake of the game Punch-Out.  Now it’s ported to the Wii with 16 old and memorable fighters to face off against Little Mac (you).

However for my case, my first experience with Punch Out was in Animal Crossing!  No, not Animal Crossing: City Folks, the original.  Anyways you can find a NES game console with the game Punch Out!

Battles can last a long time, unfortunately the game only has one multiplayer, we (Steve and I), for once actually agreed that the game itself makes up for the lack of multiplayer (however the multiplayer matches could be pretty intense).

Pro:
  • For the first time in history, play as one of the “big guys” in 2-player mode
  • Play against the same characters that you played against in the NES or from Animal Crossing
  • Intense matches that make you feel like a cheer leader cheering Little Mac on to victory.
Con:
  • You can get locked out of career mode for the rest of your life (good thing it never happened to me though)

Punch-Out! Gameplay

Controls

Basically, use the wiimote in a punching motion to punch.  You get a star for hitting the other fighter in certain times. You can press “A” + swing for a star punch.

Take that, French guy!

Take that, French guy!

Use the control stick to dodge and aim up and down for high and low punches.

Gameplay

In this multiplayer Wii game you play as Little Mac a small 18 year old man that’s He’s 5 feet 7 inches tall, and 107 pounds planning to take on the big leagues.

You’ll be fighting against some of the classic characters from the original Punch-Out game.  The game is still played the same way, leading to an intense, but yet simple battle.

You’ll be entering boxing circuits, but don’t think it’s over once you beat them all.  No after you do that you unlock a new mode: Title Defense.  This is basically an excuse to fight the stronger variation of the fighters you previously beat.  After that Last Stand Mode is unlocked.  If you lose 3 matches at this point Mac will retire and you can’t play career mode ever again.

Punch-Out! Multiplayer

This game only has one multiplayer mode.  Now it might not be much, but in this mode either you or a friend can become Giga Mac, by dodging each others

Watch as Doc makes fun of you!

Watch as Doc makes fun of you!

moves.

Head-to-Head

The one and only, multiplayer to this multiplayer wii game is…Head-to-Head!  What you do is simple.  Beat your opponent in split screen.  Who’s your opponent?  Obviously your friend!

Like I mentioned above to become Giga Mac one of you just have to keep on dodging.  Eventually you’ll gather enough strength to do so.  When this happens, the screen changes into a single screen where it’s Little Mac vs. Giga Mac.

Conclusion

Punch out is one of the very few games that successfully use the Wii’s motion detection potential. The game never gets repetitive, as you’ll need a new strategy for every opponent. The opponents might be the endless onslaught type, or the preservative type, waiting for the right time…the right time…wait for it….FALCO PAUNCH!!

While the story mode is pretty easy if you beat the NES version of it, afterwards is what’s spiteful. Show your moves! Beat everyone with your bare boxing gloves, then evade, Falcon Paunch, block, punch punch punch. Sounds boring? It’s not. Try it!

PostHeaderIcon Metal Slug Anthology Cheats

The Metal Slug games itself is a short game (assuming you play the game with unlimited credits).  Metal Slug Anthology has 7 of these games all added together.  You can easily finish the game in a couple of hours if you wish, but to get the true frustration you must play with credits!

As you can tell, by playing through the game, the game is designed to eat up quarters (seriously you’re timed, enemies are everywhere, and the bosses are hard to dodge and beat!).  Luckily for us though, we don’t need to pay any quarters!

Metal Slug Anthology Tips

Fighting Vehicles

Using bombs (almost spamming them) is the best way to take down enemy tanks, airplanes too!  Just be sure to pay attention to how much you have left.  However if worse comes to worse, you can usually just duck and shoot the tanks.  They’ll be powerless against you!

Weapons Have Ammos!

All weapons you pick up have ammos!  I was really surprised when I first noticed, but this game isn’t like Contra.  You don’t get unlimited upgraded weapons.  So use your weapons sparingly.

Rescue Prisoners

You might not know it, I might not know it, and they probably don’t know it, but if you rescue prisoners they’ll give you items (they give you points), and new weapons (which they could have used to free themselves).

Using The Most Out Of Tanks

The special thing about tanks is the fact that:

  1. They have HP, meaning you don’t die in one shot, and
  2. They are a very mobile vehicle allowing you to rain death to your enemies!

So, the best course of option you can do is to dodge, and attack back when you get the chance.  The tanks gun aiming control is based on the direction you turn.  So it’s best to dodge and save yourself a tank for something important!  Just remember to jump out of the tank when it’s going to explode.

Auto-Fire

If you want to shoot fast, and continuous shots you could either, click the shooting button (whatever it is) like mad, or turn the auto-fire controls on.  Beware: you’ll still run out of ammos, so make use of it!

PostHeaderIcon Wii Music

Being a former musician myself, I expected an edge in this game, and to a certain degree I did get that edge.  However in Wii Music you don’t need any music talents (or even ears for that matter), all you need to have is the want to play music, and a good sense of timing (tempo).

Wii Music is designed just for multiplayer!  They have all sorts of fun instruments and games for you to play in.  You can also make your “one hit blunder’ album.  The end result might be a mess of meowing sounds, but it’s fun.  Steve, quitter of all music, loves this game, and sometimes drags people to try and make his first “proper” album.  That has yet to happen, because we suck!

With all that being said unlocking new instruments and games aren’t that hard.  What you have to do is just try playing something for the first time, whether it is new games, or just music lessons.  Whatever it is you’ll have a beat with this simulation game!

Pro:
  • There are a lot of instruments you can play.  Anything from classical to rock, to annoying meowing sounds, there’s a lot.  66 total instruments I heard.
  • Bring your Mii to music school, and form a band of your own!
  • Random playing can sometime yield great results!
  • Make videos of your performance with your friends and rank it from 0-100
  • Very simple to get into
  • There are millions of ways to play every song available.  You could skip beats, add 100 more, or just play it the way you want to (just make sure no one gets annoyed)
Con:
  • You can’t make your own song L (although that would be kinda hard)
  • Simple is a double-edged sword, on one hand it’s easy, but if it’s too easy you get bored.

Wii Music Gameplay

Controls

There are 4 basic types of styles in this game.  Generally you just hold the Wiimote and Nunchuck like how you would hold the certain instrument.

The game isn't all about playing music! There are other games, and...failures...

The game isn't all about playing music! There are other games, and...failures...

  • Piano Type – This applies to drums too, just hit down with the Wiimote or Nunchuck to make music.  You can also hit them both at the same time.
  • Guitar Type – Hold the controls like a guitar and strung with the Wiimote.  By shaking the Nunchuck you can even produce things like vibrato.  Not to mention pressing buttons will add certain effects.
  • Trumpet Type – Play the Wiimote like a trumpet!  Press 1 or 2 to make music.  Holding your “instrument” up high will increase the volume while holding it down will decrease it.
  • Violin Type – Pretend that the Nunchuck is the violin, and the Wiimote is the bow.  With the Wiimote the faster you move the louder the sound is.  Pressing B, Z, or C will produce sounds.

Another cool control is pressing the D-Pad.  By pressing the D-Pad you can jump, do poses, and cause all sorts of effects to happen.  You can even cause explosions in this simulation wii game

Gameplay

See above. Looks like I went overboard this time, so yeah… you form bands, and play classic musics like Ode to Joy, and taking music lessons.  That’s where this multiplayer Wii games shines.

There is also a more realistic drum mode where you use the Wii balance board, but since I don’t have one, I can’t say much about it.

Wii Music Multiplayer

Wii Music offers a great variety of multiplayer since everything you can do is pratically multiplayer.  Everything, but the lessons…

It's The Attack of the Clones!

It's The Attack of the Clones!

Jam Mode

In this mode you and your friends can play Instrument Improve, Quick Jam, and Custom Jam.

  • Instrument Improve – This mode lets you and your friends pick an instrument, and just practice with it.
  • Quick Jam – You and your friends just play a randomly selected music, with random instruments
  • Cusom Jam – You pick the song, tempo, players, instrument, and just about everything.  When you’re done, save it to a CD (in the game of course), and decorate the CD cover.  Isn’t this a fun Wii simulation game?

Game Mode

This is the other mode in the game.  Besides the usual play in a band thing as you would expect from this multiplayer Wii game, you can also play three other

It's almost like DDR, except without the dance pad!

It's almost like DDR, except without the dance pad!

games with your friends.  They are all music orientaed.  You can unlock the next level to the games by just simply beating each of the game.

  • Mii Maestro – This time you’re the conductor, and you tell the players when to play.  What’s the catch?  You have to conduct in time with your friends.  This is where the multiplayer gets really hard.
  • Handbell Harmony – Think DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), except with bells, and that there are 8 places for the bell to be ranged at.  You only have to worry about your own though so don’t worry.  As for me I’ll never beat this game…one of my controllers are broken…
  • Pitch Perfect – Don’t worry there’s nothing hard about this.  You don’t have to hear a pitch and then tell anyone what it is.  All you have to do is play match-up.  You’ll start each round with a objective.  It could be find the person with the matching pitch, or order the musicians pitch from lowest to highest.

All you have to move on and unlock new music and stages for this mode is to simply play through it once!  You might also unlock some cool things like, oh, I don’t know…LEGEND OF ZELDA!

Conclusion

Wii Music has a great multiplayer, especially if that’s what you’re after.  You can make music with your friends and family (or just loud music…), and 3 other fun game modes when you’re bored of making your own album.

Unlocking new songs and instruments in this game is pretty easy, as the game is more orientated in having fun, then working hard.  So with that this simulation Wii game won’t run out of new surprises for a long time.

Even after you unlocked everything there are still tons of neat instruments to play with.  One example is the cheer leader costume.  Who would have ever known that cheerleading can be part of a music?  Well maybe it’s not possible, but hey, it’s possible in this multiplayer Wii game!

if you’re interested, I recommend you to buy this game, but you can rent it first at Gamefly starting as low as $8.95 or Try For Free!

PostHeaderIcon Boom Blox Cheats

Boom Blox is kid’s dream come true.  Throwing explosives and bombs everywhere, making giant stacks of blocks fall down, plus there’s no mess, or need to rebuild the structure.  However sometimes you might develop ARS (Acute Realism Syndrome) :)

Anyways today here, I have some advice, and some cheat codes for people who just want to move on to building levels!

Boom Blox Tips

Cheat Codes

First of all to enter the cheat codes you need to open the cheat menu, to do this press up, right, down, and the left on the D-Pad.  Then enter the cheat codes to get the necessary affects.

Cheat Code Effects
Critter Litter Makes all character in Create Mode available for use.
Nonstop Props Makes all props in Create Mode available for use.
Pandoras Blox This unlocks all levels in the game.
Tool Pool This makes all tools in Create Mode available for use.

Now that’s the cheating way to unlock and open new things.  Now if you want the legal way is to unlock the items you have to beat through each set of levels, some may involve getting all Gold, or Silver Medals.

Grabbing Games

The key to all grabbing games or at least the majority of them all is to keep a straight head.  I couldn’t count the amount of losses I have gotten just, because I got impatient in Jenga Blocks.

So the obvious thing to do is to go for all of the safe blocks.  The key is to make sure you’re the last one to take all of the safe ones, because if you don’t then things can go really bad, like the whole entire stack collapsing.  Do whatever it takes.

An example is what happened with my friend.  There were 2 safe blox.  He was going to topple the stack, but then he brilliantly managed to pull both blox down.  Sure he lost a point, but I collapse the whole tower…

Throwing Games

Generally by rotating the camera you change the angle.  When you do this you can aim blox into certain location (point modifiers) easier.  After rotating the angle where you can throw a straight shot you need power.

To get a hard throw I like to choose that one perfect spot., and then swing very hard.  While I swing I let go of the button, and usually I get a hard throw!
