Now-a-days 9 mini-games aren’t going to get you anywhere for $50.00, but for $10.00, now we’re talking.

When you first open this multiplayer Wii game you only have one game open to play.  Now don’t panic, because it’s very easy to unlock the next games.  You just have to play the game before it to get the next one.

Once you have unlocked them all you can invite someone over and challenge them in the games.  You can keep track of your wins with the games you played with your friends.  So basically if you want to crush them with proof, the proof is in the score!

Wii Play Multiplayer

Okay here we go… all of the mini-games here have multiplayer.  You just have to unlock the game first.

• Shooting Range – Things like balloons, birds, and targets will fly in the sky, and you have to shoot them.  There are 5 levels and the person who has the

• Find Mii – You have a set amount of time to look for Mii’s.  They have to fit conditions like identical, the fastest one, the odd one out, etc.  Obviously the person with the least points at the end loses.
• Table Tennis – It’s Table Tennis.  You serve the ball to your opponents, and when they return it back to you smash it back at them.
• Pose Mii – On the screen are shapes of your Mii that you have to match their poses by twisting your Wiimote.  Things are easy at first, but then you have to literally flip your Mii backwards.
• Laser Hockey – You control a paddle and smack the ball past your friends defenses and into the goal.  The person who gets the most points wins.
• Billiards – You play billiards, what else can I say?
• Fishing – Fish for fishies!  Drop your Wiimote into the water, and once a fish bites on pull up!
• Charge! – You play with the Wiimote horizontally as you control a mad cow.  Your goal is to smash through the scarecrows.  If you hit them in a line you get bonus points.  The person with the most points in the end wins!
• Tanks! – This is the only game that requires the Nunchuck.  You and a friend Co-Op clear stages by elimination enemy tanks.  Now you could kill each other, but one point or another you have to reach a mutual understanding if you ever want to progress any further.

Conclusion

This is a great game, not worth fifty, but is totally worth ten. It’s shallow, for a real game, but deep, for a mini-game.

The game isn’t worth fifty, but if you want a new Wiimote, and don’t mind a small extra amount of money, this game is one you should likely consider.

Playing the game is simple.  You click through the menu with the Wiimote + A button.  Every mini-game is different though.  Some mini-games require you to

In the following week Rayman is going to get tortured by his television.  It’s up to you to choose which shows will torture him.  In everyday there are time slots.  Choose a time slot and then choose one of the multiple TV shows (mini-game).  If you beat the mini-game and gathered enough points you can move on to the next time slot and even unlock new accessories.

The accessories could be used to customize your own rabbids as you submit them online to be popularities.

At the end of each day you are treated to a highly hilarious scene as Rayman tries to get rid of the Rabbids.

In conclusion: never shave your teeth, brush your pits, and deodorize your hair (In-game reference J ).

Party Mode

You might be confused, but there are 2 types of multiplayer party mini-games for this game.  One of them is single player (which is everybody playing the game

by themselves) and multiplayer (everybody play at the same time).  You can tell by looking at the bottom right of each box.  If these is 1 person it’s single, if there’s 4 it’s multiplayer.

Following this concept, there is Party Mode.  You can play with up to 8 players.  Yes that’s right you heard me 8. Since you can only have 4 controllers you have to share. Once you have the amount of players choose how many weeks to play (7 mini-games per week), and the game mode.  The 3 modes are:

• Normal – You and your friends just play through the mini-games.  Only the top 4 of each mini-game get points.  The rest gets nothing.
• Raving – Whatever you do don’t get 2^nd place.  If you do you get 0 points for that mini-game.  Adds more risk for the people who race for 1^st place (which is all of us!)
• Car-Boot Sale – This is the nice mode.  No matter what happens everyone gets points, no matter how low.

Conclusion

With high pitch screaming noises, the Rabbids banging their heads on walls, and secretly trying to eat paper will get a good chuckle out of anyone.  No one can deny that this game is funny.

With over 50 mini-games and a healthy dose of destruction this multiplayer Wii game can make anyone’s day (except Rayman, he’s the victim of it all).  There are a whole bunch of party games you can just focus on, or just blast through each one of them one at a time toppling your friends to their imminent defeat!

Now for those of you who played and know what Bomberman is all about, you’ll get a shocking surprise.  The story mode of this party game doesn’t have the classic bomb dropping action we all played and love.

No instead you’ll be entering an amusement park.  What’s the twist?  You’re going to unlock the multiplayer mode mini-games, and you’re going to need to use tokens.

What are tokens for?  Tokens allow you to play the mini-games.  Once you run out of tokens though, you’re done for the round.  Beware: there are multiple CPU’s, and they have no mercy! T.T

Bomberman Land Gameplay

Controls

You play with just the Wiimote.  You move by pointing on the screen and pressing B (or the D-Pad + B).  Press A to interact with people.  – Activates a map, and + opens your options that let you see your status and clothings.

Glad to see fashion is part of the game.

While playing mini-games things are played differently.  Some require you to play horizontally while others require you to just use the Wiimote’s motion sensing abilities.

Gameplay

Bomberman Land is simple.  Basically when Bomberman arrived at Bomberman Land he meets old friends and new rivals.  It all started nicely, the director of the amusement part greeted them, but that ended shortly as a hostile takeover was commenced.  In the end the director was taken hostage by the champion of Bomberman Land and it’s up to you to dethrone the champion.

There are 5 zones to play through.  Each zones have their own mini-games and depending on what grade (A, B, C, etc) you get more points (A being the highest,

nothing being the lowest).  This would be easy to win, if there wasn’t a price… Everytime you play a mini-game you have to pay tokens.  Tokens are given to you at the beginning of each round (3 total), and it’s up to you on how to use them.

Some of the mini-games are relitivly hard, and are not that fun at all.  However if you get far enough in the mini-games things become more enjoyable.  What I don’t like about these games is the fact that you’re playing by yourself.  Your opponenet automatically play and win giving you some slight disadvantage.

At the end of all 3 rounds you are sent to the next zone if you have enough points.

However before you begin a round there things you can do.  First of all there is the training rooms.  There is a training room for single-player games, and multiplayer games.  Playing and winning them will yield you some TP.  Not only does it give you experience with the mini-games you can use the TP to buy clothing.

With TP you can purchase clothings.  Do you have to do it?  No, but it’s recommended, because the more stylish you are (which I kind of doubt, what’re these clothings?), the more extra tokens you can secretly get at the beginning of each round.

Bomberman Land Multiplayer

This game includes the classical Bomberman Battle game with new maps and power-ups, but not only that this multiplayer party game also includes 10 multiplayer mini-games.

Attractions

What this mode is clear and simple.  You just play the multiplayer mini-games from Story Mode to your choosing and with your friends.  Now there are only 10,

5 for 4-players, and 5 for 2-players.

Battle Mode

This is the old and classic Bomberman game right here.  The basic gameplay is that you’re in a stage with blocks blocking your path.  Drop bombs and destroy them.  If you get hit by a bomb you’re dead.  So make sure to hide behind pillars and other objects.  There are 6 modes to this game and they are:

• Normal – You and 3 other players try to kill each other.  Just be careful not to blow yourself up.
• Star – Inside blocks are stars that are being hidden.  The person who collects the most stars in the end of the time limit you set wins.
• Point – Blow people up to get points.  ‘Nuff Said
• Crown – Race to the crown that’s being blocked by blocks.  You can attack the other players if you want.  If you are the last man standing all of the blocks will automatically blow up.
• All-Out – Same as normal, except once you’re dead you come back riding a machine.  The machine can throw bombs at any location, perfect for getting revenge on your killer!
• Wii – Point at the screen and throw bombs to blow the targets in the map.  The person who first reaches a certain amount of points win the game.

Conclusion

Every tiny little detail thought about, Bomberman Land is a fun game, including the shallow mini-games (They’re mini-games, what do you expect?). My favorite mode is battle mode, with everyone with tons of mind blowing power ups.

While the main games aren’t the best around, and some things will easily keep them down, the highly classical yet fun battle mode will make up for, and add to the mind-blowing experience.

The game gets to the peak of being fun when you get upgrades and start dropping bombs like there’s no tomorrow.

Well, it’s not really junk, but the items you buy from your part-time jobs have no use, but to somehow have enough power to cause mass mayhem in the world.

There are numerous part time jobs you can take, each involving some sort of job that you have to do.  This makes you really wonder how a kid can get such high paying jobs…
This multiplayer party game features no Nintendo WFC, but a lot of offline multiplayer. You play a huge amount of jobs for a select amount, with a selected goal, from saving up, to getting a certain amount of wins.

Controls

The game mainly uses the wiimote to swing. The game also adds buttons to push, as sometimes, swinging and moving is not enough.

Warning:Getting pictures and playing with one hand can endanger other peoples life.

Gameplay

In the story mode, you can also go to the store to purchase several useful items that help you improve your job performance, or just for plain collection. That’s about all for this party game.

Now, the story is hilarious.  A meteor is headed towards Earth.  A group of scientist and the presidents are the only one that knows what’s going on, but then…

…the president decided to pursue on trying to get his secretary on a date, and somehow the only defense against meteor building blew up.

Now I know what you’re thinking “we’re screwed”.  Well, you’re right, because the last hope for mankind rests on the shoulders of 2 children and a shopping network.

It’s up to you to gather money via jobs you are too young to do, and then blow it on random junk on a network that somehow has enough power to stop a meteor.  I don’t know how that works, but hey, it’s funny.

There are far too many mini games to describe, so I’ll just explain one. In fishing, for example, you move the nunchuck on a high speed chase with the fish, and you swing the wiimote to throw a net to catch them.

• Wins: Whoever reaches a set amount of wins, wins.

Conclusion

The game is indeed shallow, however, the large amount of mini games will easily make up for it, cause, come on, it’s a game based on mini games! Mini, being the keyword, signifies the fact that it is particularly small, so, if it’s quantity you want, this game is your dream, ‘cause the mini games are deeper then most others.

Rhyme Tap

This is my favorite game (or probably the only game I’m good at…).  Think this as dance dance revolution, except no dance pads, and no direction, just tapping.

Silent Blocks is like playing with jenga blocks.  You pick a block by tapping, and then you pick a direction to

If you want to really get a party you can play with infinit amout of people with just one remote, this can last for a very long time, just don’t get knock the star off of the structure.

Or you can play alchemist mode which is basically matching up three or more colors to make bricks, and then matching bricks to change colors.  Put multiplayer competition, and then you have to rush to be the first to create certain brick colors.

Bubble Voyager

You play as the brave bubble voyager as you fly through the mysterious space area shooting meteors, and avoiding certain doom by tapping.

In multiplayer mode you get to fight with 3 other friends and family in arena while avoiding meteors and snagging power-ups.

Visualizer

Here is where things get unique.  Just pick a specific game in here like fireworks for example and tap to see fireworks.

You can even make a show by selecting which of the 5 games to show up for, and how long.  Then tap away with your friends (although it’s probably best with younger children).

Conclusion

Let’s Tap is a fun unique party game that the wii has yet to see until now.  With the unique controls and the 5 fun multiplayer games it is a nice addition that let you do everything with your friends and family.

I’m guessing the friendship part is, because people grow fond of their character, and want to be the best (thanks to the RPG part of the game) so eventually a person will turn on his friend.  They get angry and turn on each other.  That or they’re just power hungry…

This happened to me and my friends.  We all started out nicely.  Then one of my friends fought me (by accident), I killed him (hey it was either me or him!) and took his money (okay I couldn’t resist).  He got angry at me so he plotted with my other friends to get back at me.

Dokapon Kingdom Gameplay

Okay playing this game isn’t hard.  There are many modes in this game, but you would probably go for story mode first.  Story mode is multiplayer by the way.

You make your character (name, class, gender, haircut, and color).  Then off to Dokapon Kingdom we go!

Now that you’re in the game you have so many things to do.  You could:

• Do what the king asks you to do
• Save towns, which is technically what the king asks you to do
• Kill monsters to level up
• Explore caves
• Kill your friends
• Run away from your friends in places where they can’t fight you, because you angered them by robbing them of everything they have
• And the list goes on…

Never underestimate the power of magic or Magma DX or...

This happens...

Classes

There are 12 classes to play.  3 of them are already unlocked for you, 8 of them have to be unlocked, and the last one, the strongest one, can only be specially attained.  You start out with a magician, thief, or warrior.

There is one class everybody hates… the deviling class.  It’s only available to the person that’s at last place (least money), they’ll get a bat on their head and if they go to the dark space in Asiana they’ll become the near invincible darkling for 2 weeks (14 turns).

The darkling is the strongest class (it triples your current stats), but to become one you have to sacrifice everything.  You get weapons that will basically make sure you win every battle.

Battle

Fighting in this game is easy.  If you are attacking you can:

• Attack – You attack
• Strike – You attack, it’s a lot stronger, but have risks.  Look at counter
• Use magic – You use your magic, it can’t be dodged (or at least it has yet to dodge)
• Use class skills –Every class has skills that’ll increase your stats

Now if you’re defending you can:

• Defend – You reduce damage you take from being hit
  

  Battle against demons and monsters you only heard of, and laugh your face off as they turn out different!

• Counter – If your opponent uses strike you and you use counter you will must likely kill him.  My friend decided to use strike at me as a deviling, I countered and killed him in one shot.
• Use defense magic – Use one of the magic you bought for defensive purposes
• Give up – Similar to being killed, except you don’t go back to the starting area.  However you can’t lose your equipment, and things are less harsh.

Stats are the deciding point in this game and they’re:

• Attack – How much damage you do physically
• Defense – Reduces the amount of damage you take physically
• Magic – Increases the damage you do with magic, and decrease damage taken by magic.
• Speed – Increase your chances of dodging and hitting enemies and increase the chances of hitting and dodging with field magic

Dokapon Kingdom Multiplayer

This multiplayer wii party game doesn’t have Nintendo WFC, but that’s fine this game is a life taker (12 hours and still at chapter 3!), and taking it online will lasts forever assuming you didn’t give up.

All of the modes here are 4 players

Story Mode

Story Mode is where everything happens.  You play through chapters which could last forever.  I spent 4 hours on chapter 2 with my friends (of course it’s probably, because we turned on each other, and the fact I was chased by a Darkling, I won btw).

Rob the women of her goods, succeed and she'll still welcome you as a valuble customer!

Normal Mode

First you have to set an amount of weeks to play.  The person who has the most money wins.

Kill Race

This mode will get you strangle to death.  You have to go around killing people, and the person reaches the certain amount of kills win.

Town Race

In this mode the person who captures the most town wins

Shopping Race

In this mode the king orders to go get items in a list.  Whoever brings back the items first wins the game.

Conclusion

Dokapon Kingdom is one of my favorite sleepers hit for the wii.  When I first played it I hated it, because I kept on losing, but then when my friends came and played, things got a lot more fun.

After that we learned that we could do a lot of things that can actually give us money like robbing items shop and then sell the items you steal back to them for a lot of money.

Then things became very fun for us as we ventured through Dokapon Kingdom leveling up, getting items, and best of all get new classes.

It may be older, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad game, in fact every time you play you’ll be amazed by how crazy playing from micro games to micro games in this game.

Micro games are fast paced games that only exist in the Wario Wares series.  They’re called micro games, because each one last in a couple of second, too short to be a mini-game.

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Gameplay

You'll be fine if you don't run into the tree, the wall, or the ground.

In this multiplayer wii game you play through single player mode via stories of characters you meet as they encounter problems.

The events lead down to you playing micro games.  To reach the end you play through a set number of wacky and random micro games to reach the ending.

You’ll be introduced to many, many ways to swing the wiimote.  An example is the big cheese, which you pretend you’re a big important company CEO and put your wiimote near you waist, or samurai, where you use the wiimote like a sword.

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Multiplayer

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves does not have Nintendo WFC, no friend code, nada, but instead it has 7 different multiplayer party games that you can play with at

Fly! Fly! Fly! Until you lose in a micro game that is.

least 2 of your friends.

To unlock multiplayer mode you have to play single player mode until you unlock it.

To unlock the rest of the multiplayer games you have to play all of the multiplayer games at least once.

The 7 multiplayer games are:

• Darts – You can play up to 4 players.  You play darts by throwing darts onto a board.  Each person gets 300 points. The first one to bring it down to exactly 0 wins.
• Survival – You play with up to 12 players.  You play as angels flying in the sky.  You each play a micro game one by one and when you lose, you fall from the sky.  Harsh?  Yes.  Fun?  Definitely.  Let the best men (or women) win.
• Bomb – Play with 2-5 players.  You have a bomb.  You play a micro game, and if you win, you get to choose what the next player plays (I smell a way to abuse someone…).  However, if you lose, the bomb blows up.
• Lifeline – With 5 people, you basically play rounds of micro games.  Each game you win give you points, and in the end you’ll be hanging by ropes.  The number of ropes you have depends on how well you did.
• Star Nose – With another friend, you play as an airplane flying and collecting nose items.  If one of you crashes, the other person wins, so ram your friend into the wall!
• Balloon – With 5 people, you pump a balloon up.  Each turn you get to pump the balloon.  Then you play a micro game, hoping the balloon won’t pop on your turn.  Afterwards, it’s your friends turn.
• Bungee Buddy – You and another friend run through an obstacle course using the wiimote and the nunchuck.  You each get one of the remote and go through a timed obstacle course.  Get as far as you can!

Conclusion

Want to show your friend who’s the master of speedy reaction? Than this is the game for you then.  This would be a fast pace 2-12 player game for whoever wants to play it.

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves offer you over 200 micro games to play, and 7 multiplayer modes that are and aren’t related whatsoever.  Plus you don’t need more then 1 wiimote in any game.  It’s all played by one wiimote, cost effective unless you have more then one.

Like usual expect a lot of mini-games, focus on multiplayer goodness, and the bittersweet taste of almost beating your friends, but lost everything you have in one turn.

Mario Party 8 Gameplay

The gameplay to Mario Party 8 is still the same as all Mario Party games.  So if you hate the series you’ll hate this game, but if you love the series you’ll love this game.

Mario Party 8, like all of its multiplayer party game predecessors is played like a board game.  Everybody takes turn rolling their dice to make their move.

The goal of this wii game is to gather as many stars as you can and at the end of the game the person with the most stars win.  It’s up to you to do whatever you can to get the stars.

Once you picked a map the games starts and ends with a dice.  You roll the dice to decide who goes first, and who goes last.

Everybody starts with 10 coins.  You can get more by buying or getting items to steal them, winning mini-games, and stepping on blue spaces.

After every turn there is a mini-game.  There all sorts of games with all sorts of variation like 1 vs. 3, 2 vs. 2, or free for all.

Mario Party 8 Multiplayer

You don't want to touch the flames...or jump into the lava

All Mario Party games are made for 4-player fun, that’s why it’s a party game.  Mario Party 8 is no exception.

There is no Nintendo WFC in this game so you can’t go online (but come on the game would last forever anyways) but there is local multiplayer.

You can have 4 players (assuming you have 4 wiimote, gamecube controller won’t cut it).  The more people there are the more hectic things become, because people know how to scheme, blackmail, and bribe better then the CPU, sorry but it’s true.

Party Mode

Like all Mario Party games you can play on one of the boards you have.  There are 6 boards total in this game.

You get to choose to play in 6 boards in this wii game.  They each have a theme, but beware, like a board game, this party game is very dependant on luck (that’s not always true though, I won 3 times in a row once).  The boards are:

• DK’s Treetop Temple: Like the regular Mario Party boards, get coins, and then buy the stars.
• Goomba’s Booty Board Walk: Get the coins and buy the stars ‘Nuff said (enough said).
• King Boo’s Haunted Hideaway: The star is hidden in a chest somewhere.  Find it and show your friends who’s the best bounty hunter.
• Shy Guy’s Perplex Express: Get coins and give them to the person at the end of the train.
• Koopa’s Tycoon Town: Get as many coins as you can and invest in hotels.  The person who invests the most gets the hotel, and the more money invested the hotel the more the hotel is worth.

Mini Game Tent

Here in this tent you can play all of the mini games you have unlocked in many different ways.

There are 5 ways you can play with them:

• Free Play Arcade: Play any mini game you unlocked.  You get to choose.
• Crown Showdown: Be the first one to win a certain amount of mini-game before your friends to win the game!
• Flip-Out Frenzy: Play a mini game and then the winner of it get to choose an area that’ll be colored in his color in a + shape.  The game is over when all of the spaces are colored.  The winner is the one who has the most colored area.  This is the place to put your mini game winning skills to your advantage.
• Tic-Tac Toe Drop: This is a 2-player game.  Its tic-tac toe.  Whenever you win a mini game you get to choose the first spot.  First to get 3 in a row wins.  This is definitely the way to dominate people with your mini game skills.
