Castlevania Judgment has grouped up characters from all of the Castlevania games, and they are sent to an alternate world by a mysterious man named Aeon.

In this multiplayer fighting game you’ll be playing the castlevania characters with Nintendo WFC with people online and locally with your friends.

Not only that there is the famous castle mode that lets you climb up castles fighting people after people, and eventually you’ll get accessories to dress your characters with! :)

This game feels like soul caliber games, so if you like that game, and want a game similar to it, this is it.

Pro:
  • It’s just plain fun smashing friends with combos
  • Move freely in a 3-D map
Con:
  • Camera gets in the way sometimes
  • Problems with the wiimote sometimes

Okay first of all I wouldn’t say Castlevania Judgment is one of the best fighting wii games, but it’s certainly not a bad one.

In this game you can play with the classic controller, the wiimote and nunchuck, and the gamecube controller.

There are several modes such as: arcade, survival, and castle.  The mode you’ll probably be interested for a while is story mode which allows you to unlock new characters (it’s going to take a while though…).

However don’t forget training mode where you learn how to play.  If you want to be a better fighter or player in general in any game read the instructions, do the training mode, look at the list of moves, or whatever else you can to learn what you can do.

To fight you can attack, dodge/roll, defend, use items, or when your gauge at the bottom is filled, use your ultimate attack.  If you manage to hit your opponents with an ultimate attack you enter a scene where you watch your friend get hammered with attacks that’ll take half of their hp bar.

Castlevania Judgment Multiplayer

In this wii fighting game you can go online to fight with your friends and random people in a 1 on 1 battle.

I smashed you onto the floor!

I smashed you onto the floor!

The problem I realize is that there is no one looking for a wi-fi match.  So you’re only left with your friends and family locally for a fight of vampires vs. humans for the century or on Nintendo WFC with other friends (and yes even the ones you met online.)

Versus Mode

Here you can fight with a friends or a computer.

You get to choose one of the 14 characters to fight with.  Once you do that you choose an item to use, and then the map to fight in.

Nintendo WFC Mode

Like I mention earlier I’m pretty sure that there’s nobody looking for a random fight, but there is still the ability for you to fight your friends who has the copy of the game.

Conclusion

Now this game wouldn’t be my first choice of fighting games for the wii, but I certainly wouldn’t be disappointed if I got it as a present.

While the camera can get entirely agitating, the gameplay does not disappoint. The final attacks and the teleporting add a whole new edge to playing this game, cause, honestly, how many games let you teleport?!

Overall, if you’re thinking going extremely hard-core on this game, I wouldn’t recommend it to you, but if you want a fighting game that’s pretty new to your collection, I would recommend this one.

I recommend you to try renting this game at Gamefly starting as low as $8.95 or Try For Free!
