Data East Arcade Classics Multiplayer
Skip the gameplay there are 15 games and I’ll be explaining what you’ll do in all of them here anyways…
There are 3 types of multiplayer:
- Competitive
- Co-Op
- Or something I made: double controls! The games actually let your opponents with a 2nd remote controller actually help control you
The games here and what can you do in multiplayer are:
- Wizard Fire – You and your friends choose a class (doesn’t really matter much) and go through the stages slaying monsters with magic and might.
- Hamburger – In this game you run up and down ladders pushing hamburger buns, lettuce, patty, and lettuce down to the bottom of the screen to make a sandwich. There’s a catch these little monsters will get in your way and will kill you in one touch. Solution: pepper them and then drop a piece of food on them. You compete with a friend to see who gets the most points.
- Burnin’ Rubber – Race and ram other cars into the wall, but the most important power is to SURVIVE! Compete against a friend to see who has the most points.
- Express Raider – You’re a raider hijacking a train. You fight people on train in a simple punch them, kick them/dodging combat. Multiplayer involves getting the highest score
- Lock’N Chase – It’s Pacman except you’re robbing a bank. Multiplayer is the same your score vs. their score.
- IceCream – Similar to hamburger you run around the stage pushing ice cream down into ice cream cones. You don’t have the pepper, but instead you have the power of jumping. Multiplayer once again is the same deal.
- Secret Agent – Similar to Metal Slug if anyone have ever played it before. You a suave super agent infiltrating a base to rescue the chicks and prevent a nuclear bombing. Unfortunately multiplayer is competition related…
- Side Pocket – Its pool. Now this competitive multiplayer makes sense. Sink in the balls to win the game!
- SRD – Play in an airship combat. It’s like the side scrolling shooting games like radian. Once again it’s competitive.
- Bad Dudes – The president has been kidnapped. Are you a bad enough dude to save him? Save the president from ninjas as you battle through stages fighting ninjas at 2 different layers. Multiplayer involves you and a friend kicking ninja a**!
- Caveman Ninja – In the prehistoric age you find your mom, wife, children, sister, other female relationships kidnapped by other cavemen that are jealous of your harem. You and a friend play as a caveman run through stages throwing stones and other objects at enemies.
- Crude Buster – An explosion happened in New York City in 2010 A.D. (notice not A.D.E.?) 20 years later the government tried to clean it up, but a street gain decided to take over, so the government sent 2 guys to infiltrate and eventually defeat the whole entire gang. You and your friend are those 2 guys.
- Heavy Barrel – You roam around on each stage (8 whole directions!!!!) and shoot baddies at all directions. Best part is that you die in one hit! Combine with friends for intense shooting action.
- Magical Drop III – You have to take these magical bubble things coming from the top and pair them up with the same color to pop them and inflict pain to your enemies. The game is fun for those of you fans of game similar to this. You compete with friends to try and kill them.
- Street Hoop – Its basketball what more can be said?
Conclusion
Data East Arcade Classics has 15 games some fun, some moderately enjoyable. If you enjoy arcade games or wish to reminisce in the old games this isn’t a bad game.
If you want another multiplayer game this simulation games is perfect with a whole bunch of laughs and some awesome gameplay that should have been included in some of our more modern game.
