What’s better, MX or ATV?
Well, you’ll never see me out there doing tricks like the pro’s, I wouldn’t dare put my life at risk like that, especially after playing this game. I’ll just keep my dreams in a video game… (Joking, I never wanted to race anyways)
Anyways you’ll have a blast with this multiplayer WIi game as you fly through the sky doing tricks, and then ending it with a painful smash as you break every bone in your body. Luckily for you, you somehow get back on your vehicle and continue racing.
In this multiplayer Wii game you can also get points, and buy things to create your own custom vehicle. While I don’t think there is any difference capability-wise, but isn’t it always better racing with your own custom-made vehicle?

MX vs. ATV Untamed Gameplay
In this multiplayer Wii game, you can enter championships or just custom games where you can set things like the number of CPU’s, how hard they are, how
many laps, and other options.
In each race you zoom around the stages doing things like tricks to get points.
When you’re racing off of a ramp you can move your Wiimote up and down to jump higher.
If you do multiple tricks in the air will multiply the points you get with the amount of tricks you did.
Tricks gives you points and points can be used to buy new vehicles or customizable stuff
However entering YOUGOTIT as a cheat will unlock everything.
MX vs. ATV Untamed Multiplayer
With ramps at every corner, and tricks waiting to be unleashed you’ll have a great time playing with your friends, whether it’s on Nintendo WFC or just locally. MX vs. ATV Untamed does have a random match-up online, but unfortunately it’s dead (or at least whenever I tried going on…).
However you can still play with your friends on Nintendo WFC, just add friend codes.
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
Unfortunately I have never played this before due to lack of people, so I would have no clue what this mode is even like.
Multiplayer Mode
Inside Multiplayer Mode are 10 racing options. They are:
- National – Race around the map. The first person who finishes wins! MAKE SURE THAT’S YOU!
- Super Cross – This is basically the same as National. The only difference is that you race in different maps
- Super Moto – Same as above
- Open Cross – Same as above (now I’m starting to see a similarity…)
- High Score – You’re out in maps with all sorts with ramps and the sort everywhere. You have to set a certain amount of time and then do tricks. The person with the most points wins.
- Free Ride – Choose your map and just race for fun. There’s no losing or winning. You just ride for fun.
- Way Point – Instead of going on the road, you have to follow a blue arrow pointing you to the gates you have to pass through.
- Bonus Tracks – Same as National, Super Cross, and the rest of them up there. Like always the maps you race in are different.
- Hill Run – Take a guess. What do you think it is? Right! You climb up a hill. First one to reach it wins!
- Combo – This is just like high scores except you only get points if you do combos.
Conclusion
Even though I may not know much about ATV or MX racing, which you could figure out from the lack of information… However this multiplayer racing game still offers a lot.
You might not know what ATV is, but if you like racing games, this game delivers a good racing game with tons of modes, customizable things, and a good laugh (despite the pain of crashing onto the floor).
To me it felt a bit bland, but my friends loved it, so if you’re interested, I recommend you to try renting this game first at Gamefly starting as low as $8.95 or Try For Free!
