When I first played MySims Racing it reminded me a lot of Mario Kart Wii. It’s similar, but it does have its own differences.
This multiplayer racing game allows you to create and race with your own characters that you make from story mode. You have to unlock and make parts, but what’s better then a custom made ride?
Along with this wii racing game you’ll see some similarity to Mario Kart like: 3 soccor balls with 3 green turtle shells or bullet bill with the UFO.
When you customize you can do all sorts of things. One thing I was notorious with my friends was dressing my male character with feminine looking hair and a very high girly pitch voice.

MySims Racing Gameplay
In MySims Racing you can play three modes:
- Story Mode – This is where you’ll be able to get own create parts for your car and Sim. You’ll be talking to people to do chores (that somehow involves racing) to get parts, and other goodies.
- Quick Race – Like the name suggest you just race from three modes by yourself with some pre-made vehicles or your own.
- Multiplayer Mode – This is where you’ll race your friends in. If they have the game they can bring their own sim saved onto their wiimote. They could also make their own vehicle on your game, or just select a pre-made one.
Now once you start racing you’ll get a countdown. There’ll be a meter going and you want to get the arrow to point at the middle green area. If you do it you get a boost and some f-energy (your boost).
While racing you can pick up presents and get weapons like an acorn tree, bee hives, watermelon, and many more to use against your rivals.
Finally On the left hand side of the screen you have a meter that indicates your f-energy. It’s basically how much boost you have. Once you use it things go super fast. You can get more by drifting, being in the air for a long time, or just bumping into people.
MySims Racing Multiplayer
As a racing game you would expect some multiplayer…and well you got it! MySims Racing has a local multiplayer mode for up to 4 players, but there’s no online
racing.
Face Off
Like the name suggest this mode allows you to race with human players, people like your friends and family, in a race to see who’s the best of the best. There’s no computer interference at all.
Single Race
Pick a vehicle, select a map, and then race for the gold medal. Here you race with a total of 8 racers (NPC fills in the rest).
Championship
Here you select a tournament cup, and race in all of the maps in the cup. You get points based on what place you get. The person with the most points in the end obviously wins.
Conclusion
If you’re tired of playing Mario Kart Wii and want another racing game this game is for you. If you want to just find another racing game to play this game is also for you. But if you want to play a game where you can bash your face down into the pits of death, this is also a game for you!
With customizable vehicles you can make some sweet rides, so if you’re interested, I recommend you to buy this game, but you can rent it first at Gamefly starting as low as $8.95 or Try For Free!
