Multiplayer Wii Games FTW!

Tatsunoko VS. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars

“What’s the damage report, random reader?!” “It’s over ten BILLIOOOOOOOON!!!!” “Oh. So not much and we can just shrug it off?” “Yeah, pretty much.”

Ah yes, the only game where you can inflict or receive 100,000,000,000 damage and just shrug it off.  You’ll punch people for massive damage as you smash them into the air and connect millions of combo’s to them.

The only problem is that you’ll probably have no idea who some if not most of the characters are.  This is especially true if for Tatsunoko. Have you ever heard of Jun the Swan?

Pros
  • You get  a ton of characters, like Frank West and Yatterman-2 (ever heard of them?)
  • Massive and extremely flashy attacks
  • Makes playing with the Wiimote more effective for newbs!
  • Gigantic units!
Cons
  • Hard to learn how to play

Tatsunoko VS. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars Gameplay

With this game, you can just swing the Wiimote and press random buttons. You get to punch, kick, kill, etc. As far as I can tell, there is no plot. You just beat

This is a giant robot blasting lasers!

people up.

You pick a team of 2 and you begin to fight with whoever you want.

The game is rather simple with a wiimote, but to perform the ultimate combos of ultimate destruction, you’ll have to do extremely difficult combinations. Believe me, you’ll need ‘em to play on the ONLINE MODE!! Especially since you don’t chose anything, you’re autopaired, but otherwise, you’ll just pummel people in extremely fun and flashy fighting.

Each character has at least 3 ultimate moves that will both do massive damage and stun your opponents with fear as you combo them over and over.

Lastly you can play gigantic characters that are over 3-4 times bigger then normal characters and they count as 2 characters.  They are super strong and unless your opponent knows what they are doing, they’re screwed.

Versus

Just plug in/connect a second controller, and select 2P versus, and you’re good to go!  Pick any 2 characters you want to fight with and you get them.  Go kill

No one punches Chun Li!

your friends!

Online

You can also go on to Nintendo WFC, here there are 4 modes you can play in:

  • Free Battle – This is where you fight anybody in any skill rank.  You won’t earn or lose any Battle Points (BP)
  • Rank Mode – This is the mode where you fight people of similar skill level to you.  You can lose and earn BP points which just lets you earn titles.
  • Friend Battle – You fight your friends online
  • Rival Battle – You fight rivals you make in the game (by registering them as rival once you beat them).

And that’s all you can do online.

Conclusion

The game is a very fun and possibly second best fighting game for the Wii (The first being Brawls). The best part is giant laser and zombies. But yeah, the game is relatively simple, and is a great fighting game. You get to kill zombies in a special attack, parry, then ninja slash people (Not with the same character, though)!

Overall, this game is a must have for fighting game fans, even more so for Capcom and Tatusnoko fans. You will especially love this game if you’re not a fan of random items and/or running away to some far off corner! The only flaw is that it’s a two player game, but that can be overridden if it wasn’t for those giant robots.
