It may be free, but you still want to win in Wii Sports! 5 sports game to play = 5 sports game to win. That’s what this section is all about, now I may not be an expert, but I have put some time into this game.
However first things first, you still have to learn the basic controls. To do this you can go play the game, or go into training mode. Training Mode will help you learn everything step-by-step.
Bowling
Getting Strikes
Okay what I have found that works for me was to slightly move to the right a step or two. Then making sure you hold the Wiimote straight as you throw, otherwise it could go wrong (you might try adjusting how you hold it for it to work for you). There are more ways to get strikes, but this is the method that works best for me.
Spinning
If you want your ball to curve you have to twist your Wiimote (making sure it’s not evenly straight).
Tennis
Power Swings
You don’t really need to swing your arms fast or anything to get a powerful shot. What you really need to do is to swing the Wiimote hard. Beware it might hurt your wrist.
Ace Serves
Have you ever done any of those high speed golden colored serves? It’s not just luck, and there are ways to serve them. When you serve hit the ball when it’s at its highest point.
A common mistake people make is that they hit the ball when they see it reach the highest point. Now unless you’re reaction speed is like 0.001 second the ball will already past it’s highest point.
Surprise Attacks
You can sometimes surprise your opponents by hitting balls with your partner at the net, or let the ball get past them so the partner at the back could get it.
Boxing
Rapid Punches Are A No-No
Doing rapid punches will be impossible. Instead you shouldn’t be like my brother and just punch crazily. Instead you should block and go with a steady amount of lefts and rights.
Swinging the Wiimote harder will result in a strongerpunch.
Baseball
Pitching
The ideal pitching move is the splitter ball. You can do this by pressing A and B and then throw. It’s a tough ball the falls downwards.
Getting Home Runs
Now this may not always work, but I noticed it did help me several times. To get home runs give yourself some swing space with your wiimote held high and behind you. Then swing the bat when it gets close the diamond. Try to hit it straight on and follow through as you hit the ball.
Golf
Umm…help?
Aim Practice
The only thing I can say is to test your swing before you do it for real. This could give you a good idea on how much power to put in your swings.
